Compare the daily routines
- Eating: aligners come out; fixed braces need food choices that reduce the risk of breakage.
- Cleaning: removable trays allow access to your teeth, while braces need careful cleaning around brackets and wires. Both need a consistent routine.
- Appointments: both need monitoring. Remote check-ins may be useful in some aligner plans, alongside necessary in-person care.
- After treatment: ask about retainers with either option.

Which is faster, and what will it cost?
There is no reliable treatment-time comparison without assessing your bite and the planned movements. Ask for an estimate for each option that is actually suitable for you. A digital preview is a planning aid, not a guarantee of a particular result.
For aligner treatment, ask how the plan would handle additional aligners or refinements if more movement is needed, including the possible effect on timing and fees.
