Dr. Haykani reviews how the jaws and teeth are developing: growth, the bite, the width of the dental arches, oral habits, and history that may matter orthodontically. X-rays and digital scans are included.
After the evaluation

Dr. Haykani explains what she found and what it means orthodontically. Depending on the findings, the next step is one of three paths.
Monitoring, treatment, or referral
One of three next steps.
Monitoring: when treatment is not needed yet, growth is watched at complimentary observation visits until the timing is right.
Orthodontic care: when treatment is orthodontically indicated, you receive the plan, timing and exact fee before you decide.
Medical evaluation: an orthodontic assessment does not diagnose sleep or breathing disorders. If something needs a physician, Dr. Haykani recommends a medical evaluation.
