The assessment

What is going on, explained first.

Dr. Haykani looks at your jaw, bite and teeth, asks about symptoms such as jaw discomfort, clicking, clenching or grinding, and explains what she finds. Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) affect the jaw joints and the muscles that move them.

Conservative care and referral

Reversible care first, referral when needed.

Many TMD symptoms improve without invasive treatment, and painless clicking often needs no treatment at all.
