
Kyle Froberg BS, ACSM-CHFS
Coordinator of Internal Operations
Kyle graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Fitness. During his time at URI, he was on the Men’s Soccer Team, which went to the NCAA Tournament in ’95 and ’96. In ’95 the team was ranked #8 in the country. Kyle was also selected as Rhode Island’s Freshman College Athlete of the Year in 1993. After his playing career, Kyle went on to be an Assistant Coach at URI under hall of fame coach Ed Bradley for 5 years. Kyle is currently the Head Boy’s Soccer Coach at North Kingstown High School, which he led to an undefeated State Championship in 2007. In his tenor at North Kingstown he has coached a 2-Time All-American, 3 All-New England candidates, and a number of All-State Student Athletes.

Steve Crandall BS, CSCS
Head of Strength and Conditioning
Steve is a 2010 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Health and Fitness. Steve’s strengths stem from his athletic background at Cranston High School West, winning two state titles each in wrestling and football. While attending URI he was a founding chairman of the Sports Medicine Club and a co-captain of the men’s rugby team. Along with his experiences as an intern in strength and conditioning and sports medicine at the collegiate level, he also has experience in training both athletes and non-athletes. His experiences range from elementary aged children to clients with disabilities.

Pat Barrett
Pat attended Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently studying for his Aerobics and Fitness Association of America training certification. Pat has been in the training field for almost two years and enjoys working with all levels of athletes by helping them stay motivated and reach their goals. Prior to suffering a career-ending ankle injury, Pat was a New England AAU Basketball standout and continues to incorporate his passion for basketball and all sports in his personal training and team training. Pat has a talent for motivating and team building with high school and middle school aged athletes. Pat conducts several sports conditioning, personal training and small group classes at Sports Performance.

Kristen Cavaco MS, CPT
Kristen graduated from The University of Rhode Island in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Health-Fitness/Kinesiology, she than went on to graduate with her Masters degree in Exercise Science in 2009. Kristen has a certification in Personal Training from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Kristen enjoys lifeguarding and has worked as a lifeguard and Lifeguard Captain for 9 years at both Scarborough State Beach and Narragansett Town Beach. Kristen is also a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the United States Coast Guard Reserve, stationed at Station Point Judith. In January 2007 she attended and completed 8 weeks of USCG Military Boot Camp in Cape May, New Jersey. She also attended a 12 week USCG Navigation & Seamanship training school in Yorktown, Virginia later in 2007. Kristen attended High School at The Prout School where she was the team captain for the soccer, softball, and track teams. Other hobbies include swimming, ice skating, running, and yoga. Kristen enjoys varying her training and workouts to include different aspects of conditioning such as; kettle bells, free weights, and resistance bands to accommodate all levels of fitness.

Cheryl Campo A.C.E.
Cheryl has been in the fitness industry for 12 years, teaching group exercise classes, arthritis classes, water aerobics, and classes designed for special populations. She trained individuals of all ages to achieve their fitness and health goals. She is A.C.E. certified for Personal Training and Group fitness, as well as Pilates. Cheryl has been with South County Sports Performance for two years, working along side Physical Therapists. For pre and post surgery, she works closely with the Physical Therapist or doctor to insure full recovery and injury prevention for the future. I dedicate myself to helping individuals succeed with their fitness goals and lifestyle changes. Cheryl’s mission is to teach individuals how to reach or exceed their personal fitness goals. She also teaches the importance of nutrition and exercise combined for a healthy lifestyle.
